Usually Google provides the sources of a new Android release when there is the first device out in the market. With the Motorola Droid (Milestone in Germany) out people eagerly waited for the 2.0 sources.

Owners of the developers version of the G1 (the ADP1) and Magic (the Google I/O version) can now update to Android V1.6. The binary packages are now officially available at the HTC site sitting next to the V1.5 versions. To download the image look here.

A chinese site shows the pictures of the HTC Magic next to its brother, the Dopuda G2 (HTC’s daughter company in mainland china). The G2 is supposed to be sold by T-Mobile in the near fuure while the Magic is in the pipeline of its competitor Vodafone to be in the shelves end of April.
